Our MissionWe follow the words of our patron, St John Vianney, who said "He is here".
We recognize Christ is in the Word, the Eucharist, and in us, His people with a special reverence for Him in the poor and marginalized. We are called to make Christ present through our prayer and charity. We seek to grow in our spiritual lives and create a community where everyone is welcome; the young and old, together to experience the loving presence of God. We believe He is here amongst us and we joyfully go out to make Him present to all. |

Community NewsPENTECOST SUNDAY 5TH JUNE - MULTICULTURAL MASS
On Pentecost Sunday the Apostles were transformed and empowered by the Holy Spirit, and speaking in many different languages, they took their first steps in professing the wonderful works that God had done through Christ. We speak many languages in our parish community at St John Vianney’s and to celebrate this multiculturalism we invite parishioners to attend Mass dressed in the national costume of the ancestry they identify with. We would also like to share a multicultural morning tea and ask that you to bring a plate with a delicacy from the cuisine of your ancestors. Please add your name, ancestral background and share plate you intend bringing, to the Sign-up Sheet in the Church foyer. Finally, we would like to display the flags of the many countries represented in our parish community. If you have a flag, either small or large, and are happy to loan it to us for the day please indicate on the Sign-up Sheet in the Church foyer. SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM
Enrolments are now open for the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2022. Enrolment is open to children who are Baptised Catholic in grade 3 or above. For enquiries and to enrol please contact Nola (sjvsacramental@bne.catholic.net.au). |
